The Defender highly values the practice of joint discussion on regional issues with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development

A new practice of joint work between the Human Rights Defender’s Office and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development has been developed.

Periodic discussions about regional issues and the ways of solution of complaints addressed to the Human Rights Defender are held with the Ministry. Visits to borderline villages with the purpose of getting familiarized with the residents’ problems are also conducted.

In particular, during the Defender’s recent visits to Ararat, Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik provinces, the residents presented problems of both systemic and individual nature. Information about problems was revealed and presented to the competent State bodies.

The Human Rights Defender highly values the readiness of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development to solve the problems within its mandate.
