The Human Rights Defender received the U.S. Ambassador

Today, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenian Lynne Tracy. The Defender congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the leadership of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Armenia. Arman Tatoyan highlighted the cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Armenia and the projects implemented with the USAID.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the fight against corruption, reforms of the justice system, as well as the work carried out in the field of protection of women's rights, etc. The parties stressed the importance of activities implemented in the regions, emphasizing the importance of engaging young people.

 

Lynn Tracey emphasized the role of the Human Rights Defender in democratic reform processes and human rights protection in Armenia.

 

The parties agreed to continue the established effective cooperation.
