The representatives of the Human Rights Defender are learning to communicate in the sign language: training

The “Agat” NGO has organized a seminar on communicating with people with speech and hearing problems in sign language for the Human Rights Defender’s office.

Sign language specialist Rosa Avagyan has presented around 300 basic signs concerning human rights to the participants of the training, which will help the Human Rights Defender’s staff members to communicate with people who have speech and hearing problems effectively.

“We all should have adequate knowledge to effectively communicate with people who have hearing problems which will contribute to their integration and more effective protection of their rights” mentioned the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan in his opening remarks during the training.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation with the “Agat” NGO aimed at providing equal opportunities for the people with disabilities and their effective social engagement.

The organizers of the seminar provided the Human Rights Defender’s representatives with a sign language dictionary.
