A discussion procedure has been initiated at the Human Rights Defender's Office based on the public information on search conducted at the editorial office of "Yerevan Today" media. Both the publications on the issue and clarification of the media have been examined.
The statement of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, that the search conducted at the editorial office does not have connection with journalistic activity, has been taken into consideration.
Nevertheless, taking into account the fact that the search has been conducted at the editorial office of the media, clarifications have been requested from the criminal prosecution body, irrespective of the public statement of a state body on that regard.
