In recent days, complaints have been addressed to RA Human Rights Defender regarding the waste collection conducted in violation of prescribed schedule by the Armenian branch of “Sanitek” company.
There is information available in complaints, media and social networks that waste collection is carried out improperly in different parts of the capital around two weeks, and in some instances are not carry out at all, the calls and complaints to the hotline of “Sanitek” remain unanswered. No proper notification is provided to citizens about the delays in the works or their implementation period.
Given that the mentioned complaints and public concerns denote the public significance of the issue, the Defender’s Office initiated a discussion procedure.
The necessary measures prescribed by the law are undertaken with regard to the performance of the obligation by “Sanitek” company.
