Today, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan again had a telephone conversation with. Margrite Kalverboer, the Ombudsman for Children of the Netherlands about the deportation of the two Armenian children from the Netherlands.
The Ombudsman of the Netherlands informed that in this situation the decision has been annulled taking into consideration the best interest of the children: Lili and Hovik will continue living in the Netherlands. Arman Tatoyan has also been informed that now they are trying to clarify the basis for the annulation.
Days ago during a phone call the Ombudsman of the Netherlands assured the Human Rights Defender of Armenia that the issue of the Armenian children is a priority for her and she makes efforts to postpone the deportation in order to study all the documents related to the children and the issues on protection of their rights in detail.
