The Human Rights Defender dispatched a working group to Shurnukh village

After the incident in Shurnukh village, a number of residents of the village raised concerns on their rights and also applied to the Human Right Defender.

 

Given the importance of listening the residents of the village in order to have a comprehensive understanding and assessment on the incident, a working group was dispatched to Shurnukh village of Syunik province.

 

The representatives of the Defender will meet the residents of the village, listen the issues raised by them, and will have a working meeting at the Police Division.

 

Police ensures the necessary cooperation with the Defender's Office from the very beginning of the incident.

 

The Human Rights Defender is obliged by the law to investigate all the circumstances of the incident within his mandate, as well as to listen to all parties guided by objectivity, impartiality and other principles required by law.
