The issue around Hayk Kyureghyan’s return to Vardashen Penitentiary Institution was discussed with the staff of the penitentiary by the RA Human Rights Defender’s order, which was given based on the published information on Kyureghyan’s return.
According to the clarification given to the Defender's Office, Hayk Kyureghyan was provided with a short leave with duration of one month thrice, according to the procedure, prescribed by law, and the deadline for the last leave was September 10. However, the next day, Hayk Kyureghyan again made an application for a short leave for one month to the staff of the penitentiary.
Later, it was made clear that the consideration of his application had been delayed on the ground of implementation of Shant-2018 strategic command and staff military exercises, but today his application will be approved.
After having undergone the corresponding procedure during the day, Hayk Kyureghyan will be provided with a short leave from Vardashen Penitentiary Institution, meaning that he will not be living in the penitentiary only for some time.
