Working visit to Tavush borderline communities. An ad hoc report on the damages caused by Azerbaijan to the civilians will be published

On November 8, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan together with the representatives of his staff visited the borderline communities of Tavush province targeted by the Azerbaijani armed forces to conduct fact-finding mission.

The Defender accompanied by Samvel Saghoyan, the Head of Chinari community, walked through the village and recorded the traces of the shootings on the walls of kindergarten caused by the Azerbaijani armed forces.

In Chinari village, as in other borderline villages, the target of the Azerbaijani armed forces is the civilian population.

“In the ad hoc report that will be published in the near future we will also include information on the damages caused to civilian population which has been calculated by Tavush Regional Administration. The international community should get credible information on these facts”.

In addition to the fact-finding activities, the Defender also met with the locals of Artsvaberd, Aygedzor and Chinari villages and listened their problems.

A consistent work is undergoing  towards those issues.

A number of civilians’ problems have been solved after the previous visit to other borderline villages of Tavush.
