The Human Rights Defender had a phone conversation with his counterpart - Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria with regard to the yesterday’s incident in Akhalkalaki with the involvement of our compatriots.
The Public Defender of Georgia informed that she payed close attention to the circumstances related to the accident since its beginning. She sent her special representative to the Police Department, then to the hospital. One person was almost immediately released, another is receiving treatment in hospital and because of this, it was impossible to have a private interview with him.
Mrs. Lomjaria stated that she would continue to pay a close attention to the issue.
