The representatives of the Defender were dispatched to regions in order to carry out independent monitoring of National Assembly extraordinary election

On December 9, on the day of early elections of the RA National Assembly, the Office of the Human Rights Defender works from the early morning.

 

A working group has been formed with a special task to conduct independent monitoring both at the Office’s headquarters, as well as at Shirak, Gegharkunik and Syunik regional offices.

 

Besides the mentioned regions, the representatives of the working groups were dispatched to other regions as well in order to examine possible complaints regarding electoral rights on the spot and as necessary to provide rapid response.

 

The work of journalists and observers is under particular attention.

 

Complaints with regard to the realization of electoral rights can be submitted to the Defender’s Office via 116 and (096) 116100 telephone numbers or through visiting the Defender’s Office.
