Expert Council on Military Personnel Rights Issues adjunct to the Human Rights Defender Created

Expert Council on Military Personnel Rights Issues adjunct to the Human Rights Defender has been created, based on the decree by the RA Human Rights Defender adopted on January 9, 2017. The Expert Council includes representatives of non-governmental organizations operating in the field of military personnel rights protection, and individual specialists (sociologist, psychologist and lawyer). The Council also includes one military serviceman family member.

The aim of the Council is to assist to the Defender in revealing the problems of protection of rights of persons liable for military service, including military servicemen, as well as to offer solutions. The Council will also analyze the legislation pertaining to liability for military service and serving in the army, as well as will provide expert assessments on individual issues to the Defender.
