Today RA Human Rights Defender, Arman Tatoyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia, Jonathan Lacôte.
Arman Tatoyan presented to the Ambassador the priorities of the Human Rights Defender’s activities, the new regulations by RA Constitutional Law on the Human Rights Defender and the measures taken for their implementation.
During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed interest in the steps taken towards human rights development in Armenia, as well as highlighted the importance of the role of the Defender’s Institution in human rights protection across the country.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to strengthen and expand the existing cooperation.
