A working group with a specific task was dispatched to Ijevan city of Tavush Province by the Human Rights Defender’s decision

The purpose of dispatching the working group to Ijevan is to get acquainted with the situation and to guarantee human rights.

The whole night yesterday, under the Defender’s direct supervision, the representatives of the Human Rights Defender’s Office examined the situation, discussed the calls received via hotline, as well as provided legal consultations to citizens.

Every issue should be solved based on the principle of the rule of law, in a spirit of solidarity and excluding any form of violence.

All necessary steps will continue to be undertaken within the mandate of the Human Rights Defender.
