The Human Rights Defender Received the Delegation of the Chamber of Advocates of Islamic Republic of Iran

The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received the Delegation of the Chamber of Advocates of Islamic Republic of Iran accompanied by the president of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia Ara Zohrabyan.

 

Arman Tatoyan highlighted the role of independent advocacy in protecting human rights and strengthening the rule of law underlining the activities and cooperation of the Chamber of Advocates of RA.

 

He presented the principles and directions of the RA Human Rights Defender’s work, reflected on the issues of cooperation with the advocates.

 

The Human Rights Defender mentioned that much attention is paid to insuring the rights of citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran according to their legal requirements including their religious beliefs during the unannounced visits to closed institutions.

 

The president of the Chamber of Advocates of the Islamic Republic of Iran Isa Amin presented the principles of advocates’ work in their country, as well as highlighted the activities of the RA Human Rights Defender in the protection of human rights.

 

The parties expressed their readiness to extend the cooperation towards the insurance of human rights.
