The Human Rights Defender received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia

The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazayev.

 

During the meeting, the Human Rights Defender presented the directions of his activities and mandate, as well as the projects that are carried out in the field of the child’s rights protection to the Ambassador.

 

Arman Tatoyan expressed his gratitude for Commissioner for Human Rights of Kazakhstan Askar Shakirov’s quick response to the incident in Karaganda with the involvement of Armenians in January of this year following the request of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.

 

Timur Urazayev emphasized the importance of the Defender’s role from the perspective of the human rights and especially child’s rights protection and full realization of the rights and invited Arman Tatoyan to participate in the high-level international conference devoted to the child’s rights protection planned in autumn 2019 in the capital of Kazakhstan Nur-Sultan.

 

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to develop the close cooperation between the national human rights institutions of the two countries.
