On December 6, Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan participated in "Human rights protection in Eurasia: exchange of best practicees for Ombudsmen" conference.
Ombudsmen of Russia, Ukraine, Islamic Republic of Iran and other countries, as well as representatives of international and diplomatic institutions, scientific establishments and civil society have participated in the conference.
During the conference Arman Tatoyan presented a report on new legislative regulations on Human Rights Defender of Armenia and development tendencies in the field of human rights protection.
At the end of the meeting, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, the President of General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Akyikatchy (Ombudsman) of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a memorandum on the establishment of the Eurasian Ombudsman Alliance.
