Today Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had a working meeting with Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Ambassador Argo Avakov. Politico-miltary officer of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Bernhard Frankl and national legal advisor at the OSCE Office in Yerevan Maria Silvanyan also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the issues related to reinforcement of legal grounds and practical application of the human rights guarantees, as well as capacity building of the Ombudsman’s office and, particularly, its marz (provincial) branches were discussed.
The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen and enlarge cooperation in the fields human rights protection and other spheres, prioritized by both offices.
Stressing the importance of the Ombudsman’s institute and active work of his office, the parties expressed readiness to discuss relevant issues within the framework of their bilateral cooperation.
The RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, in turn, emphasized the role of the OSCE Office in capacity building of the Ombudsman’s institute and expressed his willingness to initiate joint projects in the field of human rights protection.
