The Defender had a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator Bradley Busetto

On May 2, RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had a working meeting with UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Bradley Busetto.

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed questions related to human rights protection guarantees in the legislation and their implementation in practice. They also discussed issues in relation to strengthening the capacities of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, specifically, regional offices.

 

Mr. Busetto, emphasized the importance of the Human Rights Defender’s institute and expressed readiness to carry out joint projects in the framework of mutual cooperation.

 

Arman Tatoyan emphasized the UN’s, specifically UNDP’s role in strengthening and developing the capacities of the Human Rights Defender’s institute, and expressed readiness to carry out joint projects aimed at human rights protection and to extend the areas of cooperation.
