The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan met the Head of the Armenian Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mrs. Caroline Douilliez, Coordinator at the Protection Unit of the ICRC Zurab Burduli, Head of Communication Programs of the ICRC Zara Amatuni and the ICRC Legal Advisor Iren Aloyan.
During the meeting the parties discussed a number of issues concerning human rights protection priorities, including issues related to the protection of civilians.
Еemphasizing the role of the ICRC in preservation of the humanitarian law, Arman Tatoyan confirmed his readiness to undertake joint projects in the above-mentioned field, as well as to extend the areas of cooperation.
The parties agreed to organize training courses for the Human Rights Defender's Staff in the international humanitarian law and conduct information exchange strengthening the already established cooperation.
