 The Human Rights Defender had a meeting with the Ambassador of the United States of America Richard Mills

Today, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Armenia Richard Mills.

 

The Defender and the Ambassador discussed questions related to human rights protection, referred to issues concerning human rights protection guarantees in the legislation and their implementation in practice.

 

The Parties expressed readiness to establish and enhance further cooperation in a number of priority areas regarding human rights protection.

 

Ambassador Mills emphasized the active role of the Human Rights Defender’s institute and the Human Rights Defender’s staff and expressed readiness to discuss the possible cooperation frameworks. In his turn, Arman Tatoyan highlighted the importance of protecting human rights and strengthening democratic values in Armenia and confirmed his readiness to carry out joint projects and extend the grounds for cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America.
