The RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan today received a delegation, headed by President of the General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Naser Seraj.
During the meeting the issues, related to human rights protection were discussed; the problems of legal and practical strengthening of human rights guarantees in Armenia and Iran were also touched upon.
The parties stressed the importance of enlargement of cooperation between the institutes of the both countries, the issues, related to implementation of joint human rights projects, outlining possible directions to develop their collaboration. They also discussed the problem of legal protection of Iranian citizens in detention in Armenia.
During the meeting the parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation by means of holding joint events, ensuring participation of representatives of the parties in such events, presenting proposals aimed at elimination of violation of human rights.
