Today, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan accepted the delegation of Martina Quick, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia and Georgia. The delegation included Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Sweden in Armenia Margareta Kristianson, the South Caucasus office representative Gustaf Winstrand, as well as Eastern Europe and Central Asia department representative Martin Fridricson.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed the issues related to human rights protection priorities, emphasizing the importance of the Ombudsman's institute in this area. Particularly, the parties referred to protection of children rights, the prevention of torture and ill-treatment in closed institutions, as well as a number of issues relating to the protection of human rights.
The parties emphasized the importance of their cooperation in the field of human rights, mutually expressing their willingness to enlarge and continue the cooperation.
