A citizen who did not receive maternity allowance applied for the Human Rights Defender’s support.
According to the application she is working at “Haypost” CJSC and is on a maternity leave, however, she has not received temporary incapacity allowance.
Within the framework of initiated discussion procedure at the Defender’s Office, the issue has been presented to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. As a result, the employer payed the citizen her maternity allowance.
Notice: According to the Article 24(1) of RA Law on Temporary Incapacity and Maternity Allowances, the employer, calculates and pays allowance to the employee after receiving necessary documents within the time period for the payment of the forthcoming salary as prescribed by the legislation.
