Statement about conducted studies on electoral processes by the Defender's staff

As of March 29, 2017, 189 publications of mass media on alleged violations of electoral rights have been studied on the principle of monitoring by a working group established by the Human Rights Defender's Office. Discussion procedures have been started within the scope of 33 written and oral complaints, including hotline calls, citizens' receptions were organized, as well as legal advice on electoral rights issues was provided to them.

Clarifications on alleged violations of electoral rights were required from competent state bodies,  and information on cases involving electoral rights and features of apparent crime was sent to the criminal prosecution authorities to take measures prescribed by law.
