The conscript who had applied to the RA Human Rights Defender informed that he had spinal lesion, which, հowever, was not detected by the X-ray examination based on the referral received from the Military Enlistment office.

The applicant requested the Ombudsman's assistance in conducting a proper medical examination and determining the suitability of the military service.

As a result of a visit to the Central Medical Commission, it was found out that the applicant had been diagnosed with drug allergy and the initial signs of degenerative dystrophic changes in the spinal column with left-right radical syndrome. In another medical center, the applicant on his own initiative passed a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) investigation, three spinal herminias were detected.

During the second examination at the Central Medical Commission, the members of the Commission and representatives of the Defender's Office examined the applicant's personal case, photos of spinal hernias detected during a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination.
