Today, on 31 July, the RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had a working meeting with the President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan. The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan also participated in the meeting.

“Human rights must be protected regardless of the territory’s political status. International human rights bodies must accept this principle. There are also people living in Artsakh - women, children, people with special needs, whose protection and rights’ guarantee must not depend on the status of the territory,” said Arman Tatoyan.

During the meeting important issues related to our compatriots’ rights protection, including the cooperation in this regard were discussed.

Arman Tatoyan highlighted the established effective cooperation between the Human Rights Defenders’ institutions of the Republic of Armenia and Republic of Artsakh. Moreover, he expressed his readiness to further expand it.

The parties emphasized the importance of joint efforts of Armenia, Artsakh, and Armenian diaspora for the resolution of the discussed issues.
