Today the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received the delegation led by Sergey Kopirkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia.
The Defender congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the important mission and expressed readiness to strengthen the cooperation in the field of human rights protection.
During the meeting the Human Rights Defender of Armenia highlighted the established close cooperation with Tatyana Moskalkova, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation both within the Eurasian Alliance of Ombudsmen and individual complaints.
The issues raised by Armenians become subject of discussion as a result of readiness of Tatyana Moskalkova and high-level relations with her.
Sergey Kopirkin highlighted the close cooperation between the national human rights institutions of two countries and expressed readiness to contribute to more productive implementation of projects in that field.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the protection of children’s rights were discussed and an agreement on raising the awareness on protection of the rights of migrant workers travelling from Armenia to Russia was reached.
