Today Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had a meeting with State Secretary for Human Rights of Argentina Claudio Avruji and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina in the Republic of Armenia Gonzalo Urriolabeitia.
The issues of human rights protection were focused during the meeting. The parties discussed the problems of legal and practical reinforcement of human rights guarantees in Armenia and Argentina. They also expressed willingness to strengthen and enlarge cooperation in the fields
Mr. C. Avruji and Ambassador G. Urriolabeitia stressed the importance of intensive activity of the Ombudsman's institute and its personnel and declared that they are ready for searching facets of possible cooperation.
Highly evaluating the Argentinian experience in human rights protection, the RA Ombudsman emphasized the importance of accelerated promotion and protection of human rights and democratic values in Armenia, and stressed his willingness to initiate joint projects with the Argentinian human rights experts and enlarge the spheres of cooperation.
