Social security issues of military servicemen and their families were discussed

On October 10 a session of the Expert Council on Military Personnel Rights Issues adjunct to the Human Rights Defender was held.

 

Hrachya Palyan, Head of Division for Protection of Human Rights in the Criminal Justice and Armed Forces at the RA Human Rights Defender’s Office presented to the Council members the legislative proposals circulated in regard to the drafts on Making Amendments and Additions in the Law on the Disciplinary Code of the RA Armed Forces and in the Procedure for Conducting Service Examination.

 

Within the meeting issues on providing military servicemen with apartments and non-financial benefits during and after military service were discussed. 

 

Representatives of the Ministry of Defense presented the steps that are being implemented for the solution of these issues in detail: (it is envisaged for instance to introduce accumulative mortgage system, also a project is being implemented for the purpose of providing apartments to homeless persons with first degree disability).
